Szinopszis:
18 év telt el azóta, hogy a Blues Brothers, Jake és Elwood bevonult a popkultúrába. Elwood most szabadult a börtönből és azt tapasztalja, hogy sok minden megváltozott, míg ő odabent hűsölt. Társa, Jake halott, zenekara régen feloszlott, s az árvaházat, ahol nevelkedett, lerombolták. Sőt, az az ember, aki Jake-nek és Elwoodnak apja helyett apja volt - Curtis, az árvaházi felügyelő - szintén jobblétre szenderült azóta. Így Elwood egyetlen élő rokonfélesége Curtis törvénytelen gyermeke, Cabel. Egy kínosan pedáns zsaru, aki nem akar tudomást venni a családi kötelékekről, ellenben meg van győződve arról, hogy Elwood rosszban sántikál. Elwood egykori tanárától remélne útmutatást, ám Mary Stigmata nővér ehelyett rásózza Bustert, a 10 éves árvát.
